Emergency Preparedness for Organizations

corporate investment in readiness, responsibility, and real-world impact.

Wildfires. Earthquakes. Power outages. Floods. Infrastructure failure.

If your organization operates in places like Los Angeles or the Bay Area, these risks are real and increasing—for your people and your business.

real-world training and first-hand disaster response experience

Camp DoomsDaddy offers immersive, in-person emergency preparedness experiences that build real-world skills, reduce anxiety, and strengthen how teams operate under pressure.

The curriculum is shaped by lessons gathered directly in the field, taught by a former Director of Emergency Response at World Central Kitchen.

Trainings are delivered in outdoor settings to allow for hands-on evacuation, fire, and safety scenarios that cannot be practiced indoors.

Designed to be inclusive and accessible, people of all abilities and disabilities are welcome.

Participants do not need to be physically “strong” to take part.

Led by Disaster Response Expert

Sam Bloch - Humanitarian Leader & Trainer

Sam Bloch is a humanitarian leader with over two decades of experience working shoulder-to-shoulder with communities responding to disasters around the world. He has been boots on the ground in more than 100 disaster and conflict zones across 50 countries, including over 10 major disaster responses in California alone.

From responding in the aftermath of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami to directing large-scale emergency operations with World Central Kitchen, Sam’s work has consistently centered on real people navigating real crises. His leadership with World Central Kitchen, where he served as Director of Emergency Response, has taken him to frontline responses in places such as Mozambique, The Bahamas, Turkey, Hawaii, Ukraine, and Gaza, bringing structure, calm, and care to chaotic environments.

Rather than parachuting in with pre-packaged solutions, Sam is known for a deeply community-centered approach, helping local partners define what they need and co-create responses that strengthen resilience and dignity. He is the co-founder of Communitere, an international disaster response network that supported recovery efforts from Haiti to Greece, and his work has been featured globally, including in the Emmy-nominated National Geographic documentary We Feed People.

Sam is also a TEDx speaker and frequent international presenter on disaster response, preparedness, and community-led humanitarian work.

What drives him beyond technical expertise is a deep respect for the wisdom that already exists within communities. Sam believes that people are strongest when they are prepared, connected, and supported. This philosophy is at the heart of the training experiences he helps design for Camp DoomsDaddy.
